About the book

This book will report the latest development and trends in the micro air vehicles, flow over the micro air vehicles, micro air vehicle wing aerodynamics, power systems of these vehicles such as fuel-cell and lithium battery, manufacturing processes and material types for micro air vehicles, applications for environmental monitoring with micro air vehicles, and act and legislation in utilizing of micro air vehicles. It will focus particularly on: (1) a review and brief information types of Micro Air Vehicles, (2) Aerodynamics of MAVs, (3) Power Systems for MAVs, (4) Material Selection and Fabrication of MAVs, (5) MAV Applications for Environmental Monitoring and (6) Act and Legislation for MAVs. The contributors to each chapter will be scientists and engineers with strong expertise in their respective fields. As a whole, the studies presented here will reveal important new directions toward the realization of applications of MAV. We hope that this book will be useful to scientists and engineers working in this important area.

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: March 16th 2020

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Other discipline-specific databases are also targeted, such as Web of Science's BIOSIS Previews.

Erciyes University

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Serdar Genc is currently an instructor of Aerodynamics at the Department of Energy Systems Engineering at Erciyes University in Kayseri, Turkey. He has more than 100 scientific publications including international journal articles, book and book chapters and international and national conference papers. Dr. Genc’s recent research interests are experimental and computational aerodynamics, low Reynolds number aerodynamics, micro air vehicles, flexible wing aerodynamics, flow-induced vibrations, flow control, wind energy, meteorology, mechanics of composite materials. He has carried out more than 20 scientific projects with regard to aerodynamics and composite materials researches.
