About the book

Resuscitation during the COVID-19 pandemic had become a source of speculation and debate worldwide. Along with the tremendous progress in medical technology, it has posed new challenges that may change the face of resuscitation in the future. The research boost that was triggered by the pandemic affects almost every aspect of resuscitation medicine. The latter term has become an umbrella, a wide interdisciplinary scientific field that connects emergency medical services and intensive care units, clinical decision support artificial intelligence decision making systems to challenging ethics issues, professional education, and public health literacy.

Within this frame, this current book intends to provide the reader with an overview of the ever-growing relevant literature. Thus it comes to prove to us once again that our journey to "cite" questions and answers about "re-su(b)s-citation" is anything that an exhausted subject. The opposite: as human knowledge augments, the area of transition from -what we call- life to -what we refer to as- death, we will continue to grow.
