About the book

One of the significant issues in next-generation networks is the effective usage of the bandwidth, which can be upgraded by providing portability of clients and the impedance impact among neighboring connections. To accomplish this, the utilization of effective routing methods must be used to improve the performance of networks. The use of bandwidth needs to be made carefully in next-generation networks while the processing vertical handoffs. The routers are aware of the compactness of the client nodes that give the fundamental fixing required for developing transmission capacity productive and adaptable systems to bolster the expanding interest for portable remote access to the wide-area networks.
However, despite the positive outlook and trends in routing protocol design, there are still several open or unresolved challenges that researchers are still grappling with. Providing adequate responses to those challenges is essential for next-generation networks in order to maintain its reputation and sustain its preponderance in cyber and physical security. Some of the challenges include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Robustness and reliability of routing protocol
• Reduced dependencies on heterogeneous networks
• Security of routing protocols
• Dynamic Adhoc routing Protocols
• Routing in 5G Networks
• Routing IoT enabled networks
• Scalable and dependable routing system architectures

The goal of the book is to present the state of the art in routing protocol and report on new approaches, methods, findings, and technologies developed or being developed by the research community and the industry to address the aforementioned challenges.
The book will focus on introducing fundamental principles and concepts of key enabling technologies for routing protocol applied for next-generation networks, disseminate recent research and development efforts in this fascinating area, investigate related trends and challenges, and present case studies and examples.
The book also investigates the advances and future in research and development in Routing Protocols in the context of new generation communication networks.

Applications to edit the book are assessed and a suitable editor is selected, at which point the process begins.

Potential authors submit chapter proposals ready for review by the academic editor and our publishing review team.

Approved chapters written in full and submitted

Deadline for full chapters: January 4th 2020

Once approved by the academic editor and publishing review team, chapters are written and submitted according to pre-agreed parameters

Full chapters peer reviewed

Review results due: March 24th 2020

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: May 23rd 2020

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Other discipline-specific databases are also targeted, such as Web of Science's BIOSIS Previews.

Dr. P. Venkata Krishna is currently a Professor of Computer Science and a Director at Sri Padmavati Mahila University, Tirupati, India. He received his B. Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi, India, M. Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from REC, Calicut, India, and he received his Ph.D. from VIT University, Vellore, India. Dr. Krishna has several years of experience working in the academia, research, teaching, consultancy, academic administration and project management roles. His current research interests include Mobile and wireless systems, cross-layer wireless network design, QoS and Cloud Computing. He was the recipient of several academic and research awards such as the Cognizant Best Faculty Award for the year 2009-2010 and VIT Most Active Researcher Award for the year 2009-2010. His biography was also selected for inclusion in the 2009-2010 edition of Marquis Who’s Who in Science and Engineering and the Marquis Who’s Who in the World, California, USA. He is the editor for ObCom series of International conference proceedings and he is a founding member for ObCom International Conference. He has authored over 200 research papers in various national and international journals and conferences. He has produced 10 Ph.D.’s and 1 MS by research degree under his guidance and has guided several masters and bachelors projects. Dr. Krishna has authored 15 books on Computer Networks and Programming Languages. He has delivered several keynote addresses and chaired sessions in reputed conferences. He is currently serving as editor in chief for International Journal of Smart Grid and Green Communications, Inderscience Publishers, Switzerland and also the editor for International Journal of Systemics, Cybernetics and Informatics and Journal of Advanced Computing Technologies. He is an Associate Editor for International Journal of Communication Systems, Wiley. He is senior member several professional societies such as IEEE, ACM, CSI, IE(I) etc

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Mrs. Ketrin Polesak

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
