About the book
This book is intended to provide readers with a comprehensive overview of the current state of experimental medical research, which focuses on the most important scientific developments in various fields of medical science. The main objective of experimental medicine is to study the causes of infectious and non-infectious diseases, and the practical application of disease control methods. Knowledge of many fundamental aspects of health and disease is not yet sufficient to automatically transform current discoveries into new, more effective prevention and treatment. Experimental medicine is based on the achievements of basic research, has much in common with physiology, and is close to clinical medicine. The main methods of experimental medicine are experiment and observation. Based on the experience gained by other branches of medicine, experimental medicine aims to determine what skills, abilities and knowledge are necessary for a person to lead a healthy lifestyle and to avoid diseases. It is worth emphasizing that modern experimental medicine was formed thanks to a long historical process, starting with Rene Descartes, who was the first to formulate the reflex principle of the main manifestations of life, which is the main tool for the relationship of the body with the environment. The current state of experimental medicine directly depends on the degree of development of society, its socio-economic structure, the achievements of technology and science, the general level of culture. In this book, the authors, based on a historical view of research and modern advances in the field of experimental methodology, will try to highlight issues related to the physiological basis for the formation of various diseases, the molecular genetic aspects of pathogenesis, innovative approaches to creating and studying new generation vaccines and new pharmaceuticals. It is hoped that the publication brought to the attention of readers will cause professional interest and attract the attention of a wide range of readers.
