About the book

The book “Heat Transfer” aims to present some aspects of heat transfer. It aims to incorporate, the progress in conduction heat transfer, enhancement of heat transfer by conduction in steady-state, and transient conduction approach. Introduction of an extended surface, resistance, insulations, and their analyses are also welcome.

Similarly, advancement in convection heat can include other important topics, such as convection, augmentation of heat transfer, heat exchanger liquids, advanced heat transfer liquids, boiling and condensation phenomena, enhancement of heat transfer, advancement and applications of boiling and condensation heat transfer, and so on.

The book welcomes topics on heat exchangers and applications, heat exchanger design, enhancement in performance, application of multiple types, heat exchanger fouling and fouling mitigation, heat transfer resistance, surface alteration, and additives, prolong continuous heat exchanger operation. Aspects of fouling and its mitigation is a contemporary issue that could contribute to the economic benefit of industries and national interest.

Applications to edit the book are assessed and a suitable editor is selected, at which point the process begins.

Potential authors submit chapter proposals ready for review by the academic editor and our publishing review team.

Register for the book

Approved chapters written in full and submitted

Deadline for full chapters: February 8th 2022

Once approved by the academic editor and publishing review team, chapters are written and submitted according to pre-agreed parameters

Full chapters peer reviewed

Review results due: April 29th 2022

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: June 28th 2022

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Other discipline-specific databases are also targeted, such as Web of Science's BIOSIS Previews.

Kazi Md Salim Newaz, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Malaya. He has 11 years of service experience as an academic and 18 years of engineering service experience in petrochemical industries, construction of different chemical plants and engineering consultant in the international arena. He has an academic background with B. Sc. in Engineering (Mechanical), Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Master of Engineering (Mechanical) and Ph. D. in Heat transfer and Fouling Mitigation. He has been working at the University of Malaya since 2009. He has introduced sophisticated research approaches on heat transfer, particle characterization, fiber and paper, heat exchanger fouling and corrosion mitigation, separation flow, nanofluid synthesis and applications, renewable energy, etc. He has completed supervision of 26 Ph.D. and 30 Masters theses, 7 patents, published more than 246 technical papers, 10 technical book chapters and edited 4 engineering books.
