About the book

The advances in studies of Noble metal-based materials have been intensively investigated and assessed to include hybrid systems of noble metal-based materials with compounds such as carbonaceous materials, metals, and transition metal oxides or hydroxides. The trend evaluates the recent progress in the research on noble metal-based electrode materials for supercapacitors, metal-based drugs like Cisplatin widely employed therapeutics in the treatment of cancer, electrochemical performances and related devices, bioavailability and drug resistance, antibacterial and antiprotozoal action, nanomaterial fabrication is the integration of different materials within the same structure to increase functionality, etc. This book on Noble metals will include a discussion of introducing contributions from world-renowned specialists in the field of Material sciences, Nanomaterials, Biotechnology, renewable energy, and environmental sciences. The designing and the sophisticated fabrication of the various devices will be discussed along with their potential energy and environmental applications.

Mousumi Sen has a doctorate degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry, Amity University. Her research focuses on the prediction of pollutant dispersion from industrial areas, development of effective and sustainable methods for the removal of inorganic and organic pollutants from polluted water, food chemistry, heavy metal detoxification, composites/nanocomposites, water research, bio-inorganic chemistry, and nano chemistry. She has published numerous peer-reviewed research articles in journals of high repute as well as edited book chapters, authored a book, edited a book, and conference proceeding papers in her credit.
