About the book

The annual number of new cases of lung cancer is anticipated to be more than one million worldwide, with ten million expected by 2025. Lung cancer is the leading cause of death in the developed world, accounting for 20% of all cancer deaths. It's usually linked to smoking, although despite changes in smoking behaviours, it remains a leading cause of cancer death. Despite the fact that there are numerous approved medications for cancer treatment, drug resistance and delivery are two of the treatment's major obstacles. Furthermore, the pathogenic properties of tumors decrease the effectiveness of traditional cancer treatments. Therefore, looking for advances in drug delivery is essential. Recent developments in nanotechnology-based drug delivery systems including targeted approaches have resulted in a number of products flourishing in the oncology market. This book will aim to bring together scholarly articles from experts around the world working in the field of oncology and drug delivery.
