About the book

We are living in a difficult and unique moment, as we face the spread of COVID-19 virus in all over the World. This coronavirus is now disturbing our way of living, working, behaving and learning to sustain our level of performance in the workplace and in the marketplace. The worldwide spread of the COVID-19 pandemic has had a severe impact on the global economy and calls us to review our business models. Many jobs are lost worldwide as a result of COVID-19. The global health crisis challenges entrepreneurs, firms and policymakers to develop new innovative ideas which present a higher resilience and lead to a more digital, sustainable and inclusive future. Digital entrepreneurship is also able to help solve the economic and social problems caused by this pandemic. It is growing as Internet access increases. It embraces all new ventures and the transformation of existing businesses by creating and using novel digital technologies, and new opportunities for digital entrepreneurship are emerging. The demand for digital entrepreneurial education and learning is flourishing. By addressing entrepreneurship under pandemic COVID-19, this edited book aims to focus on how to adapt to the new normal by boosting (digital) entrepreneurship through education and training, by reviewing the existent firm business models, and sustaining entrepreneurship in the society for women, minorities and family businesses. A special outlook is given to micro-entrepreneurship; youth entrepreneurship; women empowerment through entrepreneurship.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Ms. Jasna Bozic

As an Author Service Manager, my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
