About the book

According to the recent world water development report 2019, the demand for freshwater consumption has been aggregate approximately 1% per annum, and this demand is estimated to remain growing until 2050. There is a collective awareness that our freshwater supplies are limited and disparately, to understand the proficiency of our ecosystem our wastewater secretions is also inadequate. Usually, standard quality of wastewater discharge is determined by COD, BOD, and suspended solids. For the betterment of eco-environment recently, the quality standard of wastewater clearance has to be required advanced technologies.

The present Book will be highlighted the recent contributions of distinguished researchers on the latest engineering and techniques that have been applied to treat the wastewater treatment. Various researchers have reported new advanced tools and processing technique of purification of wastewater treatment conversion into drinkable water.

The Book chapters could be classified into several categorizes the treatment of wastewater technologies such as hybrid membrane technology, hybrid distillation, hybrid freezing engineering, and technology, respectively.

Applications to edit the book are assessed and a suitable editor is selected, at which point the process begins.

Chapter proposals submitted and reviewed

Deadline Extended: Open for Submissions

Potential authors submit chapter proposals ready for review by the academic editor and our publishing review team.

Approved chapters written in full and submitted

Deadline for full chapters: August 21st 2020

Once approved by the academic editor and publishing review team, chapters are written and submitted according to pre-agreed parameters

Full chapters peer reviewed

Review results due: November 9th 2020

Full chapter manuscripts are screened for plagiarism and undergo a Main Editor Peer Review. Results are sent to authors within 30 days of submission, with suggestions for rounds of revisions.

Book compiled, published and promoted

Expected publication date: January 8th 2021

All chapters are copy-checked and typesetted before being published. IntechOpen regularly submits its books to major databases for evaluation and coverage, including the Clarivate Analytics Book Citation Index in the Web of ScienceTM Core Collection. Other discipline-specific databases are also targeted, such as Web of Science's BIOSIS Previews.

Presently he is working (from 1st October 2015) at the Center of Excellence in Desalination Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, King Abdulaziz University Jeddah. He graduated from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering, University Technology Malaysia in November 2008/2009. His research work focuses on a new microwave assistant material synthesis, fabrication of lab-scale to pilot-scale of hollow fiber membrane synthesis, membrane module and contractor for liquids, solid and gas separation application. Besides that, he is also involved in research and development of biocompatible dialysis membrane, hollow fiber hydro energy, membrane fuel cell, high surface area solar cell, polyolefin polymers recycling, and bioenergy from bio-waste resources. During his research, he explored the new spiral wound membrane configuration for self-sustained hybrid reverse osmosis process, biocompatible hemodialysis membrane and portable dialysis device, resynthesizes and modification of engineered polymeric materials and enhanced chemical and physical capability.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Ms. Dajana Pemac

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors.
