About the book

Creativity is considered to be the current mantra for success. Today people who think "out of the box" who "break the mold" or who can "envision the future" are in great demand globally across all platforms. Creativity is relevant whenever there is a need for a supple and open-mindedness to create a new world, aloof of the existing stereotypes. An idea is not considered as novel or creative until it is valued to derive a positive change. Creativity has magnificent power as a driving force of social change, not only materially but also culturally through shifting beliefs.

Several higher education institutions have now started implementing and incorporating the "twenty-first-century skills" of creativity in their design education system. The book intends to define creativity with a new perspective to be widely used by the current generation and community as a whole. Creativity normally is preferred to be put into "self-contained" endeavors detached from everyday life. This edition will thus address different outlooks to stimulate further research at such crossroads of creativity and social entities. While examining the concepts of creativity, and design and their interaction, the book attempts to generate a purposeful thought critically pertinent to all areas.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Ms. Romina Rovan

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
