As the quest to proffer solutions to frequency dynamics and voltage stability in modern power grids is on the rise, energy storage devices are bound to play a key role. The need for power smoothing approaches, considering the penetration of intermittent renewable energy sources in standalone or existing grid connected systems, is imperative. This book would discuss some of the energy storage devices in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems, Wind farms, Smart Grids, Electric Vehicles, Hydrogen Vehicles and Bioengineering processes.
