About the book

Sustainable development and digital transformation are at the heart of the policies of governments around the world. Green and digital transformation are inseparable challenges if we want to act for the transition to a "healthy planet". The reference points for sustainable development are outlined in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development formulated by the UN in 2015. Therefore, all countries are called to contribute without distinction between developed, emerging and developing countries and to commit themselves, albeit with different specificities, to define their own sustainable development strategy that involves all the components of society, businesses, public sector, civil society, associations, universities and research. The subject matter is fascinating and timely.

The book aims to provide a clear presentation of the concepts, tools, and applications of the field of Product Life Cycle in the sustainable and digital transformation perspective. The main topics characterizing Product Life Cycle including both managerial issues and practical applications will be considered.
