The research and investigation of alkaline materials is a field of intense activity including several disciplines, in particular in solid-state chemistry, etc. These materials exhibit interesting physical properties, electrical, magnetic, optical, and catalytic processes. These materials can be in the form of crystallized solid, amorphous solid or semi-crystalline solid, etc. In this context, this book is dedicated to the description of the most adopted methods of synthesis of different types of alkaline materials. The second part comprises the characterization and identification of alkaline materials in order to determine the composition and structure of the studied material. The remarkable physical properties (electrical, magnetic, optical, catalytic, and others) will be the objectives of the third party.
Factors influencing the physical properties of the studied materials such as porosity, microstructure, reaction environment, and others, can be discussed in this book. The theoretical calculation methods of modeling and simulation can be used to interpret and appreciate the correlation between composition, structure, and physical properties. Based on these physical properties, it is best to select materials suitable for use in industry: Application of the studied alkali material.
