About the book
Despite increasing evidence of the health benefits of Tai Chi as an exercise form for various chronic diseases, there is a lack of a unified volume reviewing the science and basis of this ancient modality for improving modern health. This book intends
to cover major health conditions that may benefit from Tai Chi, including neurodegenerative diseases, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, psychosocial benefits, chronic fatigue and fibromyalgias, osteoporosis ad bone metabolism, and other chronic degenerative conditions that plague modern health. We seek to include reviews of underlying basic science as well as clinical trial data that demonstrate that multiplicity of benefits of this ancient exercise form to advance evidence-based understanding of Tai Chi exercise as an adjunct treatment.
