About the book
This book aims to be a self-contained collection of scholarly papers targeting an audience of practicing researchers, academics, PhD students and other scientists.
The themes ranged from zero-dimensional physics in quantum dots, molecules and nanoparticles through one-dimensional physics in nanowires and 1D system to more applied subjects like optoelectronics and materials science in thin films. Topics that are welcome: Surface physics, Heterostructures, Classical and Quantum Hall Effect, Spintronics, Superconductivity, Terahertz time-domain spectroscopy, and material dynamics. This book would form the basis for a better wide-spread understanding of the capabilities and limitations of each category of the advanced level of solid state physics, and may also suggest better, cheaper or alternative novel technologies to be considered for their applications.
