About the book
Symmetry is a common standard that is very well studied in various areas of research and in this way complex systems with symmetric and asymmetric properties have emerged in the engineering area. Symmetry can be understood in two different ways: as a property or as a principle.
Also, the symmetry concept is can be used in two ways: (i) from the aesthetic point of view of proportionality or harmony, while human try to seek symmetry in nature, and (ii) from an engineering point of view to reach the geometric regularities and/or to explain a specific process in a given phenomenon.
The book is dedicated to symmetry in engineering (mechanical, electrical, civil, etc.) and aims to cover both engineering solutions related to symmetry and the search for patterns to understand the phenomena observed. The researchers are invited to submit original contributions related to engineering are where symmetry is considered in theory or practice.
