Evren Yasa

Eskisehir Osmangazi University

Evren Yasa graduated from Istanbul Technical University as a mechanical engineer, got her Master of Applied Sciences degree from University of British Columbia (Canada) with her thesis on mathematical modeling, measuring and compensating machine tools’ volumetric errors in 2004. Moving to Belgium, she conducted her Ph.D. study at the Catholic University of Leuven, on process development for the Selective Laser Melting technology for a wide range of metallic materials ranging from titanium alloys, stainless and tool steels to aluminium alloys. She also worked for one more year in the same research group as a post-doc before becoming a Senior Engineer at TUSAS Engine Industries, Inc., a joint-venture company of General Electric in Turkey specialized in manufacturing of aerospace parts. After establishing an Additive Manufacturing Division and leading many industry-oriented projects on advanced manufacturing technologies in the company, she has moved back to the academy 2 years ago. She is now working as an assistant professor in the mechanical engineering department of Eskisehir Osmangazi University and also acting as an independent expert on behalf of the European Commission for evaluation and progress monitoring of funded projects in the field of laser processing.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Ms. Marina Dusevic

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
