About the book
This book will provide the full perspectives of the biomedical imaging, including methodological developments, device designs, and disease applications. Methodological developments will include advanced biomedical imaging processing techniques such as image registration and normalization, image reconstruction and acceleration, contrast enhancement and statistical analyses. Device designs will include multi-modality imaging principles and integration; such as MRI, PET, CT, EEG and MEG. Disease applications will focus on the improvements of diagnosis accuracy based on new imaging technique in addition to the conventional neurological and whole-body imaging. For instance, in the research field of multi-modality imaging, new applications including pre-surgical planning with novel functional MRI sequence, ultra high-resolution brain myelin mapping with connectome technique, and clinical application of hybrid device such as PET/MRI will be covered.
Thorough review of most available biomedical imaging techniques and detailed illustration of the applications in large cohorts and challenging diseases are the purpose of this book. This book would hopefully capture the attention of colleagues interested in biomedical imaging principles and applications, research and development, as well as disease diagnosis and treatment, and could help convey the methodological and developmental perspectives of biomedical imaging in the medical application and research field.
