About the book
The diseases of trees influence our lives more than just as an economic impact through yield loss. This imposes a challenge to sustainable production worldwide. Thus, finding sustainable methods to control these pathogens is in current need. Diseases caused by fungi and Oomycota, Bacterial, Viral, Nematodes, plant-pathogenic algae, and plants will be covered in the book. In this way, identification and characterization methods based on molecular and morphological techniques of these diseases will be approached; incidence and impacts on trees. The management of these diseases of trees will be approached in an integrated manner, using specific monitoring, chemical, biological, genetic host resistance, and cultural methods, taking into account the capacity of these phytoparasites to be affected by the imbalance of productive systems and to comply with the function of Environmental Bioindicators. This book hopes to highlight the results of some recent work regarding the current and emerging challenges of the presence of diseases of trees.
