About the book

Ozone is one of the well-known and most powerful oxidizing agents for most areas. From health applications to environmental treatment technologies, ozone has a great application opportunity for human beings. Ozone generation technologies are also another search point for most scientists. Especially, electrochemical ozone generation is taking the strong attention of scientists as the reason for less energy consumption for ozone generation. On the other hand, from skincare to cancer treatment, ozone is finding a wide application range in the health sector. Ozone is an environmental friend oxidizing agent for most gas, drinking water, pool water, wastewater, and odor treatment processes. In the future, ozone will take more attention from most industries for its production advantages. Because ozone does not need any transportation of some inputs or ingredients for its production. Only, air and electricity can enough to produce ozone for applications. But, ozone production has some disadvantages such as pH reduction from the reason of nitrate generation during the corona discharge for environmental applications. In this book, the advantages and disadvantages of ozone applications will be discussed for further scientific and technical improvements.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Ms. Nera Butigan

As an Author Service Manager, my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors, and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing or reviewing. I assist authors in preparing their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines to ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
