About the book

RFID is a reliable communication system that can store and remotely retrieve information. Among all concurrent identification technologies, RFID exhibits many advantages which leads this technology being deployed for many commercial and home applications since few decades and it is anticipated to be available for more advanced and exciting applications in near future. With the advancement of other technologies, the RFID technology has created tremendous commercial applications and business opportunities which include IoT devices, efficient supply chains, efficient anti-counterfeiting, better environmental monitoring, asset tracking, security surveillance, support of independent living of elderly and disabled persons etc. Despite its numerous advantages there are issues and challenges as well which in turn open a widespread research scope on RFID devices and applications. RFID data management, scalable information systems, business process reengineering, standardizing applications, evaluating investments etc. are the emerging concern areas nowadays for the continuous advancement of RFID technology.

This project aims to include all the issues related to RFID modules, systems and applications.

Introducing your Author Service Manager

Ms. Iva Lipović

As an Author Service Manager my responsibilities include monitoring and facilitating all publishing activities for authors and editors. From chapter submission and review, to approval and revision, copyediting and design, until final publication, I work closely with authors and editors to ensure a simple and easy publishing process. I maintain constant and effective communication with authors, editors and reviewers, which allows for a level of personal support that enables contributors to fully commit and concentrate on the chapters they are writing, editing, or reviewing. I assist authors in the preparation of their full chapter submissions and track important deadlines and ensure they are met. I help to coordinate internal processes such as linguistic review, and monitor the technical aspects of the process. As an ASM I am also involved in the acquisition of editors. Whether that be identifying an exceptional author and proposing an editorship collaboration, or contacting researchers who would like the opportunity to work with IntechOpen, I establish and help manage author and editor acquisition and contact.
