Luis Conti
Dr. Luis A. Conti is a Professor and researcher at University of São Paulo, Brazil. For over 10 years he has specialized in the application of Geotechnologies to the study of marine and coastal geology. He studied Geosciences at the University of São Paulo and received his BSc in Geography in 1996 and a MSc in Physical Oceanography in 1998. After some time traveling and working in South America and Europe he did his PhD in University of São Paulo with a research stay at University of Bordeaux, France, working with GIS and Geodatabase applications in Continental Shelves geomorphology modeling. He then worked for two years with geophysics-related exploration industry as field engineering in Qatar and United Arab Emirates. In 2007 he became an Associate Professor at University of São Paulo where he is currently working on Natural Resources management and Geosciences Education focuses on Coastal Remote Sensing and GIS technologies.
