University of Surrey United Kingdom

My childhood was in Surrey, UK where I attended Sutton County Grammar School but then went North to Liverpool for my medical training where I found that living in this famous city was an educational experience itself, but my real education as a future general medical practitioner started when I returned South to Surrey and started vocational training for general practice in Guildford. I followed this with a 30 year stint as a full time GP at The Fairlands Medical Centre, Guildford. I had many opportunities to collaborate with science colleagues at The University of Surrey. This encouraged my interest in Nutritional Medicine which lead to my doing the MSc Nutritional Medicine at Surrey. I graduated in 2005 and was the chair of the graduates reunion group which holds Reunion/Refresher courses every two years up to 2013.
