Dr. Pankaj Abrol, a distinguished Pediatric Hematologist Oncologist, is Professor and Head of the Department of Pediatrics in SGT Medical College Hospital and Research Institute, Gurgaon, India. Erstwhile Senior Professor at PGIMS Rohtak, he established the Pediatric Cancer Unit and was also in charge of Thalassemia & Hemophilia Day care centers. Dr. Pankaj Abrol is the national resource person for Thalassemia, Hemophilia and Pediatric Oncology. He has many research publications published in national and international journals and has written many chapters in textbooks. He has also been awarded a fellowship (FIAP) by Indian Academy of Pediatrics for extraordinary work. Dr. Abrol is member of national and international bodies like IAP, ICON & SIOP. He has worked closely with associations such as India Pediatric Oncology Initiative and has provided free chemotherapy to his oncology patients by working closely with some voluntary organizations.
