Doctor in Veterinary Medicine, with Master's and PhD in Veterinary Sciences. Productivity Researcher - Level 1C of the National Council of Research - Ministry of Science and Technology, Brazil. Member of the Brazilian College of Animal Reproduction - CBRA, Member of the Society for the Study of Reproduction - SSR, USA, Member of the Brazilian Association of Animal Andrology - ABRAA, Member of the Brazilian Association of Wild Animal Veterinarians - ABRAVAS and Associate Professor 4 from the Federal Rural University of the Semi-Arid - UFERSA, teaching subjects in the undergraduate course in Veterinary Medicine and in the Postgraduate Course in Animal Science. Coordinator of the team at the Animal Germplasm Conservation Laboratory at UFERSA, where he develops research aimed at the Study of Reproductive Physiology and Biotechnologies Applied to Dogs and Wild Animals. He has published more than 200 scientific articles in indexed journals, as well as 13 book chapters, and is the editor of the book Reproduction of Dogs, recently published by Editora Manole. In addition, he acts as Associate Editor of the journal Frontiers in Physiology and serves as a reviewer for several international scientific journals such as Theriogenology, Animal Reproduction Science, Reproduction in Domestic Animals, Plos One, Reproduction, Biopreservation and Biobanking, among others, as well as a consultant to different funding agencies such as CAPES and CNPq.
