Dr. Shamsuzzoha joined as a Senior Process Simulation Engineer in January 2015 at TAKREER Research Center (TRC), Abu Dhabi Oil Refining Co. (TAKREER), Abu Dhabi, UAE. Presently his main focus is to develop the steady state and dynamics simulation model of different units in oil refinery i.e., crude and vacuum distillation, condensate units, RFCC, hydroprocessing using different process simulation tools. Prior to joining present position he was working as an assistant professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) KSA. He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering, and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with specialization in process design and control. His other research interests are in the areas of process improvement, optimization, refinery wide simulation for optimal operation of refinery process units, plantwide control, model based PI/PID controller design and online controller tuning from closed-loop response test for the process industries.
