Ahmed Sallam

Professor Ahmed Sallam completed his undergraduate Studies at Tanta University in 1985 and received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Plant protection from Zagazig University. I have a post doctoral fellowship research for six months (February 2008- July 2008) from Egyptian Government in Institute of Agriculture & Nutritional Sciences, Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany In the period from 1988 to 1999, I was working Research Assistant, Assistant Research, and Research) in Plant Protection Department, National Research Centre, Dokki, Cairo, Egypt. In this period, I worked in the field of pest control and residue of pesticide analysis. In the period from 1999 - 2007, I was working (Lecturer, and Assistant Professor) in Plant Protection Department, Fac. of Agric., Sohag, South Valley Univ., Egypt. 2007 � Until now, I was working (Assistant Professor, and Professor) in Plant Protection Department, Fac. of Agric., Sohag, University, Egypt. In the faculty, I teach several courses such as Pest control, Economic Entomology, and pesticide chemistry, at the University and supervise a number of graduate students at different departments of the University, and other university. I started with plant protection department and provided with glass ware, solvent, and equipments. I am participate as administrative remember in quality assurance (QAP), and CIQAP project. Participate in forming the annual faculty report, and strategic plan to department and faculty. Since 1988, I am interested with integrated pest management (IPM), using pesticide alternative in pest control, and pesticide residues in food stuff. At now, behind my work, I am interested worked as trainer with non organization governorate (NOG), because I have a good experience regarding the training due the experience as a trainer for the facilitators in the Safe Agriculture for Farmers in Egypt Project (SAFE), Assistant Scientific Coordinator in Structure & Development Egyptian Village Project (Shourok) in Gharbia Governorate, and Training Farmer Women in Sohag on Environmental & Healthy Awareness in Cooperation with Italian Cooperation Program of Community Development Project.
