Dr. Sharad works as a Staff Scientist at Center for Prostate Disease Research, Uniformed Services University. He received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from AAIDU, Allahabad, in collaboration with BITS, Pilani, India. He is an established cancer and translational researcher with a strong academic/administrative track record and leadership qualities. He has inventive research experience in Molecular and Cell Biology, Gene Regulation and Functions, Translational Genomics, Molecular Mechanisms, Bio-specimen Resources and Banking, Molecular Diagnostics and Bioinformatics. His specialized research has focused on diagnosis, early detection, and treatment of human diseases. He was involved in the development of novel point-of-care (POC) device for early detection and testing antibiotic sensitivity of pathogens found in human urine, with commercial value. He is the recipient of several fellowships and grant awards; has published ~20 peer-reviewed articles and 03 book chapters.
