Seyed Mansoor Rayegani

Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences

Professor S.Mansoor Rayegani, 47 years old, is an academic physiatrist who has completed his residency training in PM&R from Shiraz medical university, Iran 1992. He started his academic activities as an assistant professor of PM&R in Shohada medical center, Shahid Beheshti University of medical sciences just after passing Iranian board of PM&R examination in which he gained 1st rank. He is one of the founder pioneers for establishing a residency training program in the field of PM&R in Tehran, capital of Iran. Professor Rayegani fields of interest include; electrodiagnostic medicine, pain, spinal cord injury, and medical education. He supervised more than 20 postgraduate residency theses and published about 19 indexed articles in PubMed and ISI and also more than 30 articles in local medical journals. Professor Rayegani is president of Iranian society of PM&R, director of Iranian board of PM&R and chief of the PM&R research center at Shahid Beheshti University of medical science.

Peripheral nerve disorders are comprising one of the major clinical topics in neuromusculoskeletal disorders. Sharp nerve injuries, chronic entrapment syndromes, and peripheral neuropathic processes can be classified in this common medical topic.
