Gelu Osian
Dr OSIAN graduated from Medical School at the “Iuliu Hatieganu” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, Romania in 1995. He holds a PhD in cancer genetics. He completed the general surgery residency at the same University and got his board certification in 2001. Starting 2002 he was an Assistant Professor of Surgery. He also obtained board certification in Laparoscopic (2005) and Hepatic Surgery (2010). In 2011 he was recruited by the University of Maryland for Abdominal Transplantation Fellowship. His professional goal is to achieve excellence in abdominal transplant, laparoscopic, and hepatobiliary surgery in order to start a new academic transplant program.
