Dr. Omboon Vallisuta received her B.S. (Honor) in Pharmacy in 1974 from Mahidol University, Thailand, and her Ph.D. in Phytochemistry in 1982 from University of Queensland, Australia. Currently, she is Head of Department of Pharmacognosy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand. Dr. Vallisuta\'s area of interest is isolation and identification of active constituents from medicinal plants, and traditional medicine. She has written more than 30 papers and proceedings.
