Dr. Zhian Sun is a senior scientist at Australian Bureau of Meteorology in charge of development of model physical parameterization at the Centre for Australian Weather and Climate Research, Australian Bureau of Meteorology. His research covers development of radiative transfer scheme and cloud, aerosol optical property schemes, evaluation of these schemes in numerical weather prediction and climate models. His works also include evaluation and prediction of solar energy resources, water vapour and stable water isotope distribution in precipitation. He has received performance cash reward from CSIRO due to his significant contribution to the Australia ACCESS model development and IPCC-AR5/CMIP5 experiments. He has published more than 80 papers in peer-reviewed journals
