David Kings

David is currently an independent researcher. He is a lifelong ornithologist and conservationist having studied ornithology under the direction of Graham Martin, Professor of Avian Sensory Science at Birmingham University and \'Conservation and Ecology\' at Warwick University. He holds a BA in the social sciences from the Open University, an MSc in \'Rural Change\' and a PhD in recognition of a programme of work entitled, \'Environmental Belief Systems and Behaviour of Farmers in the Organic Heartland of England\' from Coventry University. David\'s extensive experience in the natural and social sciences enables him to research at the interface of these two disciplines. Two of his recently completed research projects are a phenomenological enquiry into the \'lifeworlds\' of organic and conventional farmers in central-southern England and a behavioural study entitled: \'Farmers\' understandings of weeds and herbicide usage as environmental influences on agricultural sustainability\'.
