Muthukrishnavellaisamy Kumarasamy

Dr. Muthukrishnavellaisamy Kumarasamy is a faculty member in School of Civil Engineering, Surveying and Construction at University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa. After his Bachelor degree in civil engineering, he graduated master degree in Irrigation Water Management from Anna University, India. He received doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India for his research work on pollutant transport studies and continued as a research associate to carry out sponsored research project on minimum flow requirement of river system for ecology. He also has worked in an affiliated state engineering institute. Presently, he is collaborating with a research team to carry out SANPAD sponsored ecosystem project for St. Lucia estuarine lake system in South Africa. He is actively involved in teaching and research activities at UKZN, South Africa. He has been awarded various Indian fellowships from Ministry of HRD, ministry of Water Resources and Council for Scientific and Industrial Research. He engages himself in professional activities such as editor, editorial board member and reviewer for various international journals.
