Binod K. Khaitan

Brief biodata of Dr. Binod Khaitan Dr. Binod K Khaitan, after his MBBS joined the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi for post-graduation in Dermatology & Venereology. Since over two decades, he has been associated with AIIMS, where he is currently an Additional Professor. Apart from being an astute clinician and an excellent teacher, Dr. Khaitan has contributed with original research to descriptive dermatology and therapeutics particularly vitiligo, dermatosurgery, pemphigus and leprosy. His papers on pulse therapy and oral mini-pulse therapy get frequent citation. He has published more than 90 papers in national and international journals, authored two books �Drugs for vitiligo�; �Clinical Methods in Dermatology & Venereology� and a series, �Current Literature Dermatology�. He has also contributed chapters in over 30 books/monographs. He has presented more than 125 papers in various conferences. He had been the member of Editorial Board of the Indian Journal of Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology for several years. He is the recipient of presitigious membership of National Academy of Medical Sciences, India; fellowship of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member and office-bearer of various professional bodies in India. He also received one of the most prestigious orations in India, �Dr. B. M. Ambady Oration� in 2008.
