Dr. Yamanouchi is an Assistant Professor of Vascular Surgery at University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public health, USA. He finished vascular fellowship both in Japan and also finished advanced endovascular fellowship in the USA. He is board certified by the Japanese Board of Surgery and is a board certified Fellow of the Japanese College of Angiology. His expertise includes treatments for aortic aneurysms, carotid disease, aortic dissection, peripheral arterial disease and other vascular disorders. His research interests include the pathogenesis of abdominal aortic aneurysm and restenosis after angioplasty, including balloon angioplasty and stenting. He is also devoted to the development of novel materials for vascular bypass graft and gene delivery methods to treat patients who suffer from peripheral arterial disease.
