Ute Inegbenebor

Dr ute inegbenebor was born on the 6th of June, 1958. He graduated from the University of Ibadan as a medical doctor in 1981, After a decade of private practice, he started a residency programme in obstetrics and gynecology. He became a consultant obstetrician and gynecologist and a medical director with Edo State Hospitals Management Board. The academic zeal in him lead him to postgraduate studies in Business Administration, Public health and Physiology where he acquired masters degrees. He accepted a position of Senior Lecturer in the department of Physiology in Ambrose Alli University in 2003. He headed the department of Physiology from 2003 to 2009. He has variously been Vice Chairman of Edo state branch of National Association of Resident Doctors, Nigerian Medical Association and National Association of Doctors in University Service. He was also a member, Board of Directors of Nigeria\'s Premier University College Hospital, Ibadan from 2000 to 2004 and Edo State Hospitals Management Board in 2008. He has several publications among which ‘Conceptual model for the prevention of maternal mortality in Nigeria. Tropical Doctor. 2007; 2(37):104-106.’ has been successfully transformed into the Midwives Service Scheme , a project established by the Federal Government of Nigeria, to halt and reverse the escalating maternal mortality ratio with the aim of achieving Millennium Development Goal [V] in Nigeria by 2015. He is married with children.
