Dr. Chaudhry received his MD and PhD degrees from The University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. He completed his Internship in Internal Medicine at Yale University School of Medicine and a Residency in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Yale Eye Center, Yale University School of Medicine Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences. Subsequently, he completed his Fellowship in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2000. Over the past decade, Dr. Chaudhry has acquired enormous skills in patient care, surgical management of complicated patients, research, teaching and leadership in the field of Ophthalmology. He has enjoyed further expertise in his field by travelling overseas, interacting and teaching other doctors about his advanced techniques of treating many conditions in the field of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Over these years, his patients have included ambassadors, foreign diplomats and heads of states. During this time, Dr. Chaudhry has helped in training over 50 Ophthalmology residents and 10 Fellows in Oculoplastic Surgery. He has made his presentations in the domestic as well as overseas meetings in the field of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and has taught courses at the American Academy of Ophthalmology and World Ophthalmology Congress. Because of his contribution to the advancement of knowledge in the field of Ophthalmology, American Academy of Ophthalmology honored him with the prestigious “Achievement Award” in 2008. This award honors physicians that exemplify academic success, a high standard of patient care, and surgical expertise.
