Frank Durgin

Following a classical education at St. John\'s College in Annapolis, Frank H. Durgin studied conceptual development at MIT and the University of Pennsylvania before becoming interested in the cognitive science of visual experience while earning his doctorate at the University of Virginia. He has spent his career, since 1994, at Swarthmore College engaging bright young undergraduate students in the study of Perception and Cognition. He has published in a variety of domains including number perception, visual texture adaptation, space perception, self-motion perception, metaphor comprehension, cognitive interference, and perceptual coding and prediction.
