Degree in Medicine and specialist in Intensive Therapy from the Universidad de la República (UdelaR, Uruguay). He carried out his Doctoral Thesis at the School of Medicine (UdelaR, Uruguay). Associate Professor of Physiopathology at the School of Medicine (UdelaR). He is part of the Pulmonary Hypertension Unit of the Maciel Hospital (Ministry of Public Health, Mdeo-Uruguay). His main line of research is cardiovascular mechanics with emphasis on the physiology of the right ventricle, pulmonary circulation and ventriculo-vascular coupling, including the adaptation mechanisms of the right ventricle and the study of arterial remodeling in pulmonary hypertension. Graduate teacher in the Medicine career of the UdelaR. Teaching collaborator in the postgraduate careers of Cardiology and Anesthesiology (UdelaR). Researcher level II of the National System of Researchers (National Agency for Research and Innovation). Researcher grade 3 of the Basic Sciences Development Program (Ministry of Education and Culture). Tutor of Master\'s and Doctorate Thesis of the Biomedical Sciences Program (UdelaR). Member of the Postgraduate Academic Commission (UdelaR). Member of the Working Group on Pulmonary Circulation of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and of the Acute Cardiovascular Care Association (ACCA) of the ESC. Fellow of the ESC (FESC). He is the author and co-author of book chapters and several scientific articles in national and international journals.
