Andrew B. Lemmey, BSc (Hons), MA, PhD, is a clinical exercise physiologist in the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Sciences at Bangor University in the UK He has a 14 year background in leading groundbreaking research into restoring physical function and attenuating disabilities in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). His expertise in this field was recognized by the American College of Sports Medicine, who invited him to author the chapter on arthritis in their influential text 'Clinical Exercise Physiology (3rd Ed.)” (Human Kinetics). Dr. Lemmey has over 50 peer-reviewed publications, is a regular speaker at international conferences, and is a member of the British Society for Rheumatology. After gaining his PhD from the University of Adelaide, Dr. Lemmey was a post-doctoral research fellow at Cambridge and Bristol prior to accepting his current academic post at Bangor.
