Mohammad Reza Meshkatoddini

Dr. Mohammad Reza Meshkatoddini obtained his BSc and MSc degrees, on 1980 and 1990 respectively, in Electrical Engineering from Tehran Polytechnic University, Iran, and DEA and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering, from Paul Sabatier University of Toulouse, France on1992 and 1996. He joined the Shahid Abbaspour Power and Water University of Technology, PWUT, as a lecturer on 1982. Since that time he has been a faculty member at PWUT (SAUT University),16 years of which as the Deputy and Dean of the university. Dr. Meshkatoddini has more than 28 years of experience in the areas of power transformers, surge arresters, electric materials and power network transients. He has acted also as a consultant to the Iranian electrical industry during the past three decades. From 2004 to 2005 he was invited to the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Toronto, Canada, where he did research work as a full-time scientist. He has published two books and more than 50 scientific papers; and has four registered patents. On 2005, he was ranked as the highest researcher at the national level. He is a Senior Member of IEEE (International Institute of Electrical and Electrical Engineers), member of the British Institute of Physics (IOP), member of the Iranian Inventors Society and member of the Iranian Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
