I have 17 years of research experience in cancer biology. This includes but is not limited to: projects in innate immunity, inflammation and sepsis; epigenetics of melanoma; mouse orthotopic/genetic and cell culture models of colon cancer, melanoma, head and neck and cutaneous SCC, and pancreatic cancer; JAK/STAT signal transduction pathways; in vitro and in vivo manipulation and analysis of microRNA and mRNA; protein analysis; multi-color flow cytometry; immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy. I have robust experience in writing scientific reports, national presentations, and grants. I successfully served as daily or supplementary supervisor for numerous high school, undergraduate, and graduate trainees, and junior colleagues, throughout my career.
