Dr. Raj Manas is currently an Associate Professor in the Plastic Surgery department at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. He is also an Executive member of the National Academy of Burns-India (NABI) and the Elected Executive council of the Indian society of Surgery of Hand(ISSH, 2023-25). After finishing his Plastic surgery residency, he underwent one-year fellowship training in Microsurgery from Amrita Institute, Kochi, and worked as a Registrar at Ganga hospital, Coimbatore, India. As part of an AOCMF fellow, he also visited Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan for a short-term fellowship in Microsurgery & Craniofacial surgery. His area of interest includes hand & lower extremity trauma, reconstructive microsurgery, Brachial Plexus & peripheral nerves surgery & pediatric plastic surgery He is the recipient of several International and national awards in plastic surgery including ‘The Prof Aikawa Young Investigator Prize 2018 by ISBI, the Best paper Award by PRS Global Open & American Society of Plastic Surgeons for Best International Collaboration- Honourable Mention award 2018 & AOCMF International Fellowship award by AO Foundation. He has several National Awards including APSI Sponsorship awards for PG trainee to attend APSICON, K.E.M. Microsurgery Training Fellowship award, Kammath Memorial Award by APSI & First Prize for Prof. J.L.Gupta e-paper award session in APSICON. He has more than 50 presentations at national and international conferences and several publications in indexed journals. He is a regular faculty of the Flap dissection course in AIIMS ‘Cadaver Training and Research Facility and is a Reviewer of the Indian Journal of Plastic Surgery, Journal Of Cleft Lip, Palate and craniofacial anomalies, The surgery Journal, and International Microsurgery Journal. He is Working on several research projects including nerve regeneration and 3D Printing.
