Luis Ricardo Hernández

Luis Ricardo Hernández has a Bachelor\'s degree in Chemistry from the Faculty of Biochemistry, Chemistry, and Pharmacy at “Universidad Nacional de Tucumán” (UNT), Argentina, since 1990. At this same university obtained a doctorate degree in Chemistry in 1996. From 1997 to 1999 was a postdoctoral at the “Centro de Investigación y Estudios Avanzados” (CINVESTAV) in Mexico City. From 1990 to date, he has been devoted to university teaching. From 2004 to date, he has served as a full-time professor in the Department of Chemical and Biological Sciences at “Universidad de las Américas Puebla” (UDLAP). Dr. Hernández has more than 50 publications in international refereed journals and some book chapters, publications in the field of teaching, and book editions. These publications have reported, among other things, the isolation and spectroscopic characterization of about a hundred new natural compounds, three of them with a new carbon skeleton, which was named “sarcopetalane”, because it was isolated from the plant Croton sarcopetalus.

Following the success of the first, second and third volumes of this series, we are keen to continue our discussions on research topics related to the fields of food science, intelligent systems, molecular biomedicine, water science, and creation and theories of culture. Our aims are to discuss the latest topics, theories, and research methods in each of these fields, to promote debate among top researchers and graduate students and, in the process, to generate collaborative work.
