Lingbin Sun
Doctor Sun received a PhD in life science in 2014 from Xiamen University, under the supervision of Prof. Chonggang Wang and Prof. Zhenghong Zuo. He conducted postdoctoral research at Jinan University, Guangzhou, from September 2016 to August 2019. In November 2019, he joined the Peking University Shenzhen hospital as an associate research fellow. His current research focus is the role and mechanism of pyroptosis and potential therapeutic targets in sepsis. A growing number of studies have investigated pyroptosis and its relationship with sepsis, including the mechanisms, role, and relevant targets of pyroptosis in sepsis. While moderate pyroptosis in sepsis can control pathogen infection, excessive pyroptosis can lead to a dysregulated host immune response and even organ dysfunction. His work focuses on the progress of potential therapeutic targets for pyroptosis in sepsis.
