Dr Shahabuddin is a postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Victorian Hydrogen Hub (VH2) at Swinburne University of Technology, Australia. Before joining the current role, he worked almost two years as a postdoctoral research associate for Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) and waste recycling projects at Federation University and University of New South Wales, Australia. Currently, he is primarily working on integrating hydrogen energy at power, manufacturing industries (i. e., iron & steel), and transport, including technoeconomic and life cycle assessment (LCA). Additionally, his research focuses on hydrogen generation, storage, and CO2 capture & utilisation. Dr Shahabuddin has demonstrated research experience on pyrolysis, gasification, solar energy, process and CFD modelling, waste recycling, biofuels, biolubricants, and tribology. He has been collaborating with different research groups worldwide, including the USA, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, India, the UK, and Bangladesh. Dr Shahabuddin has experience working with various industry partners, such as Infrabuild steel, Countrywide Australia, Calix, HRL, GHD, CSIRO, CO2CRC, ACI and JPower (Japan). Dr Shahabuddin graduated with a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Monash University and an MPhil from The University of Adelaide. He has published over 45 research articles, which has received over 2,500 citations. Dr Shahabuddin also works as an editor/guest editor/ topic editor for various journals.
