Funda Karbek Akarca
Funda Karbek Akarca graduated from the Department of Emergency Medicine, Dokuz Eylul University, in 2005. She worked as an emergency physician at the İzmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital from 2006 to 2010. She has been a faculty member in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Ege University since 2010. She was the founding member of the ultrasonography working group of the Emergency Medical Association of Turkey, serving as its chairman for two terms. She also works as an instructor in disaster medicine and critical care working groups. She has published 35 articles and ten book chapters and edited three books.
