Since December 1995 until now, I work as lecturer and researcher in the Department of Epidemiology, Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Airlangga. I graduated from Medical Faculty in the Universitas Airlangga in 1991. And then in 2001 I graduated from Master Program of Clinical Epidemiology at Faculty of Medicine Gadjah Mada University and graduated from doctoral program in the Postgraduate Program of Universitas Airlangga in 2010. I give lectures about epidemiology of communicable and non communicable diseases, and method of epidemiological research, as well. I teach students of undergraduate and postgraduate (Master & Doctoral) program. I have conducted at least one research every year and those researches have been published in journal national and international. I have joint researches with partner from abroad such as Johns Hopkins University, La Trobe University, and National Cheng Kung University. The topics of my research about non communicable diseases such as stroke, cognitive impairment, diabetes, hypertension, smoking behavior, health reform, pattern of food intake. I got research funding from government and international organization such as WHO, World Bank, and Union. This year 2021 I’m having joint research through SATU scheme (Presidents’ Forum of Southeast and South Asia and Taiwan Universities) and title of both research are epidemiology of COVID-19 and ischemic stroke and blood glucose level among productive age. Those universities as co-PI in the research are from National Cheng Kung University, University of Malaya, SRM Institute of Science and Technology India and India Institute of Technology Bombay. I’m also collaborator in the Institute of Health Metric and Evaluation (IHME) Washington University. Besides as a lecturer and researcher, I’m a trainer and facilitator in many trainings such as capacity building training for government officer and people at community level.
