Full Professor of Food Science and Dietetics at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Messina, Italy. Senior Medical Physician at Department of Medical Sciences, Internal Medicine Unit, University Hospital G. Martino, Messina, Italy. Main research lines: Nutraceuticals, functional foods and Mediterranean diet in menopausal women; effects of genistein, a soy-derived isoflavone, in early postmenopausal women with and without metabolic syndrome; Diet, nutraceuticals, varicocele and male fertility.
